If your library owns an item but it is already checked out, you can request a hold on the item. When that item is checked in, your library will hold the item for you and then notify you that the item is available.
To request a hold
Search for a library item.
Click the Request Item icon next to the item that you want:
The library portal prompts you to log in to your user account.
Log in to your user account.
If your local library owns the item, the library portal places a hold request and displays the Request Confirmation page.
Complete or edit the fields.
Click Submit.
The request is placed. You can start another search, or click Return to Search Results to view the results of your most recent search.
Note: This feature may not be available, depending on how your library sets up the portal. |
