Changing searching preferences

You can search in the library portal using different types of searches:  Basic, Advanced, or Power. For each of these search types, you can change these defaults:

To set up searching preferences

  1. Log in to your user account.

  2. Click the Preferences tab.

  3. Click Searching.

  4. Go to the section for the type of search for which you want to set preferences (Basic, Advanced, or Power).

  5. Choose the default search, sort, or limits.

Note:  Your library administrator determines the options that you can choose for each of these defaults.

  1. Click Submit to save your changes.

  2. When you are finished, log out of your user account.

 

Note:  This feature may not be available, depending on how your library sets up the portal.
