You can search in the library portal using different types of searches: Basic, Advanced, or Power. For each of these search types, you can change these defaults:
Search. This determines the default search type that you want to display (for example, Title Keyword or Author Alphabetical).
Sort. This determines how your search results display. (For example, you can choose to sort the results by author first, and then by publication date.)
Limits. This determines how many items return in your search results. (For example, you can limit the search to only items in the video collection.)
To set up searching preferences
Log in to your user account.
Click the Preferences tab.
Click Searching.
Go to the section for the type of search for which you want to set preferences (Basic, Advanced, or Power).
Choose the default search, sort, or limits.
Note: Your library administrator determines the options that you can choose for each of these defaults. |
Click Submit to save your changes.
When you are finished, log out of your user account.
