Viewing information for a specific item

After doing a search, you may want to view more information about a particular item listed in the search results. The library portal can display holdings information (availability) for the item, details about the title, links to more items by the same author, links to online bookstores that may carry the item for purchase, or links to related subjects on the World Wide Web.

To view detailed information for a specific item

  1. Search for a library item.

The library portal returns your search results as a list of titles.

  1. Click the title of the item whose detailed information you want to view.

  1. Do one or more of these options:

  2. To see details about the availability of the item (such as whether your library has the item available for checkout), click the Availability tab.

  3. To see additional details about the title or author, click the More By tab.

After viewing information about a specific item, you can continue with one of these tasks:
